Optimal Forming Solutions

Optimal Forming Solutions has developed a new, third type of Rapid Manufacturing technique: the patented FlexiMould Technology. From a 3D file a reconfigurable bed of pins the pin-mould is created, and used in combination with thermo-forming to produce the desired shape in material. In contrast to powder and solid blocks used in 3D printing and CNC milling, the FlexiMould technology uses (plastic-composite-glass-fiber) sheets as base material. The FlexiMould technology combined with thermoforming enables a quick and efficient production method for small series and prototypes. The Technical University of Eindhoven is a key shareholder as well as our reseach base.
